About This Service
Renewables (Air & Ground Source Heat Pumps) Done Right
Cosy, even heating around your home and a smaller carbon footprint - that's what a properly sized air- or ground-source heat pump delivers. Wood & Williams supply, install and commission heat pumps to radiators or underfloor, then service and repair them to maintain efficiency. Our Poole family team are Gas Safe and OFTEC registered and Ambiente accredited for underfloor systems. We manage surveys, warranties and ongoing maintenance.

Our Process
How It Works
Site survey & system design
A Poole engineer surveys the property, assesses heat loss, water demand and ground conditions, then designs a system sized for your radiators or underfloor heating.
Supply & installation
We manage plant location, groundworks (if required), borehole/trench coordination for ground-source or siting for air-source units, and connect to your central heating and hot water cylinder.
Commissioning & aftercare
Full commissioning, performance checks and handover of controls, plus service plans and emergency support so the system runs efficiently for years.
Benefits
Why Choose us for Renewables (Air & Ground Source Heat Pumps)?
Lower carbon, lower running costs
Correctly specified heat pumps deliver high seasonal efficiency and cut household carbon emissions when replacing fossil fuel systems.
Experienced, accredited engineers
18+ years' local experience and registrations including OFTEC and Ambiente for underfloor systems give confidence in safe, compliant installations.
End-to-end service & manufacturer support
We handle surveys, planning, warranty registrations and ongoing servicing — one team from design to long-term maintenance.
Supply, install, service and repair. We work with air-source and ground-source heat pumps from recognised manufacturers and integrate them to existing radiators or new underfloor systems. Our process covers system sizing, buffer stores or unvented cylinders where required, electrical and plumbing connections, controls set-up and full commissioning to achieve the expected seasonal performance.
Local expertise for Dorset properties. Ground-source systems involve trenching or boreholes and need early site checks; air-source installs require careful siting for noise and airflow. Our Poole-based engineers (led by Joe and Scott) advise on planning, groundworks and available incentives, and provide ongoing servicing and rapid repairs. FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Many older homes can use heat pumps but success depends on insulation, existing radiator size and heating demand. We perform a heat-loss survey and, where needed, suggest upgrades or underfloor heating to deliver even low-temperature heating.
