It's highly important that you have your boiler serviced each and every year. In much the same way that you need to have your car pass an M.O.T. every year, it's essential that your boiler is checked by an engineer. This service will help ensure that your boiler is working safely and that there aren't any issues that will potentially cause breakdowns. 

What's included in a boiler service

Boiler servicing typically lasts anywhere between 25 minutes and 1 hour. As part of your annual boiler service, our engineer will: 

• If possible, perform a visual inspection of the boiler and flame
• Examine the flue (externally and internally)
• Perform a pressure and/or heat input check
• Check safety devices
• Check the case seals for a good seal
• Check all primary boiler components (burner, heat exchanger, main injector, spark/sensor probe) with the boiler case removed
• Safely fire the boiler to identify any malfunctions
• If necessary, have the boiler parts cleaned
• A service report detailing the work performed by the engineer
  

You can rest assured that all of the work we do is in compliance with Gas Safe regulations and carried out to the specifications set out by the manufacturer of the boiler. 

Gas Safety certificates

If you're a landlord renting out a property with one or more gas appliances, you need to have a gas safety certificate issued every year by a Gas Safe engineer. During the process of issuing a gas safety certificate, we'll thoroughly check all gas appliances including the boiler as well as any gas cookers, hobs and fires.

After this takes place, we'll be sure to provide you and your tenants with a copy of this certificate for reference.
